The Atlanta chapter
of Les Marmitons provides ongoing support to local culinary students enrolled
with the Chattahoochee Technical College under the leadership of Chef Michael
Bologna, Director of the Culinary Arts Program. Annually the Atlanta Chapter
contributes to the schools culinary fund that is dispense by Chef Bologna, as he
sees a need. Thus far, he has been a good steward of our scholarship money,
giving to his culinary art students as the need arises, e.g. providing students
equipment, a replacement uniform or a student who needed assistance to continue
his/her education. In return we have asked each student to pass on the good
fortune to someone else when they have the opportunity and ability to do so.
The Chattahoochee Technical College, a State of Georgia institution has also
establish the Paul Crevis Scholarship Fund named in honor of Paul Crevis, the
first president of the Atlanta chapter. Recognition associated to his continued
enthusiasm as an active member, advisor and mentor of our local organization.
This scholarship is awarded by the President of the School to a named student
annually.
